Have you ever wondered about life ?
There are a lof of perspectives to think abouy life but I want you to be very specific.
- There are laws of physics that objects obey. We know they obey, we can verify they do. But WHY? Just because it is doesnt mean that has to be the only way.
- If we think of building a computer game that simulates this game. 1- it requires memory to run itself : the computer itself. 2 - then it must have memory to run computations for the sim. 3 - We need to store these laws as a memory. And then we need computational algorithms to execute them. Theres a lot of complexity involved from an electron travelling through a chip to a computation performed by a python operator. Theres an interpreter, which converta code to binary, then an exexutor that runs binary instruxtions on the computer, what does it do? Loads data into memory : changes states of switches internally and then stores it in memory the output… which is again manipulation of physical circuits internally? Thats pretty cool right: humans are able to control things we cant see with our eyes by the power of a theory : essentially a belief whixh then has consequences and computational implementations… etc etc built based on the theory… But coming back to the discussion of runnig a simulation game: theres a computer pretty fast that holds these laws, executes commands, keeps track of each object that has been created in the sim. So there needs to be a way to create things in the sim : comparing it to our physical laws we cant create or destroy energy matter but change it.. thats a law basically… which holds true for some reason whixh shows us something about reality that its closed envirobment.. like we are sealed off jn a bag of laws.. and nothing can come out of it or come in.. but ratger transform internaly.. thats again pretty cool..
So coming back, if you think about the game we are trying to build… we can think of so many things about building it…
Essentially, if we trace back this to reality..
If these laws are beinf applied to objects in reality… what is keeping track of each object? How is it that the object knows what laws to obey??? Is it created in obedience of these laws ? The components that make it up atoms behave a certain way, that restrixt the interactioms of the object… so thats onw constraint on atomic level, then there is other constraints on multiple levels… if we zoom out, theres the f = ma and buyoncy, and all these forces.. and then there are gravity… these forces that work at bigger scale… we dont even know whats bigger than that… then theres also relativistic effects at all scales ?? Electronic scale and even at large based on how fast you are going relative to the speed of light…
So I reckon.. what or who keeps travk of these laws. And how do all objects know what laws to apply..
If something isnt keeping track if each object how is each object knowing how to behave… essentially its a story… where each character atom, planet, knows how to behave.. and then there emerge complex interactions…
Now think about the computations required to run these laws for eaxh and every atom… thats impossible for us to even imagine….
BUt essentially, we can then agree that that thing is bigger more powerful than reality itself just as the computer is more heavy duty and runs computations for our game… our computer is effecient ? It produces heat and other sjde effects.. so what can be suvh side effects for the actual reality’s simulator… ?
So now if God created reality, he is therefore much much more powerful and competent. And if and it is absolutely the case that this reality is Gods simukation.. then he is very capable of creating multiple such simulations… with different laws, he is able to alter any kind of thing with ease… If god can create this simulation he is much much more able to create multiple versions of simulations… and when he says that this life is nothing compared to what is aheaddd or the life of akhirah… then in this framework of thought… its a much more powerful simulatiom with completly different laws…. 50K years of a day, sun and moon closer less than a mile, life coming back from death again..
All of these things are not just claims, they are very much possible.
Because reality, as complex as it is. This ome, whoever, Allah the creator, who created it. Is much much much much more grander and able to create realities that are more complex and when he claims something. That claim itself should chill our bones.
He created the fire. The hell fire, which we have to avoid by taking actions that please him.
This life is a simulation. Nobody can escape it. Everybody has to go through this journey. To Die and to be reborn and face judgement.
This reality itself is complex. What is the realm of the gayab. Think of humans as a part of this simulation… how does dna encode so much information that it also knows how to grow old… how does it know that hair runs white when we grow old… so it has a sense of time internally - chemical reactions.. then… how does it know how to produce more of itself… the sperm… the egg… what information to pass on… and then theres evolution… some things to take from the parents and some are random or based on luck… how does the seed know how to react to water…. And what neutrients to pick and what to absorb.. that oxygen is the thing it releases… that carbon dioxide it should inhale… where is that information enxoded in the seed ?? And how is that code… evolving… I want to bring this thinking from life itself to code. Can I write a piece of code similar to a seed :
1 - It should reproduce a seed : which again… there are so many types of seeds out there… some have fruit, somw have something else based on what?? Environment ??
2 - the seed should grow into a tree - adult being… which lives… eats, drinks, sleeps and performs operations.. thinks… etc etc
3 - ages… interacts with external env and grows.. in phases…. And how do these phases evolve? Where is the information? And the seed / tree / is it one or a collection of different cells / organs… that interact internally to make it exist…
